Can a thought or feeling be larger than a universe? Love is the only trait that is worth remembering because it is meant to be given away selflessly. The recipient is as happy to receive it as you were to give it!

If all your neutrons were connected together and engaged at the same time they would be able to create a thought sequence far greater than the size of any universe known to humankind. Your deep thinking mind has stirred the pot and may well bring many others into action and this in itself may start a chain reaction.
Your poetry is a catalyst for other poets and I am always interested in what you have to say

Leigh I am extremely humbled by your thoughts. Thank you so much I hope you have a great Christmas
We are but a speck in the universe, but faith is larger than life... if you put your faith in humanity, (faith in love), anything is possible. Wonderfully penned, Tator Tot! xx :)

I really like this piece, Tate...and, I have to agree with Marie. While Rick wrote you a very insightful and valuable review, I believe he missed the point of this poem entirely. You are expressing how incredibly important and complex small things can be. Human beings, specifically, are tiny, even inconsequential when viewed from the cosmic perspective. We scurry around this relatively small blue planet which orbits an average-sized star that hurtles around a not-so-gigantic galaxy within an almost incomprehensibly enormous universe...and yet, we ourselves are just as fantastically complex in our smallness as the universe is in its enormity. I read a wonderful article the other day that was posted on NPR's website. It talks about the human brain and states that it "...contains some 100 billion neurons, which together form a network of Internet-like complexity." Christof Koch, chief scientific officer of the Allen Institute for Brain Science, calls the brain "the most complex object in the known universe," and he's mapping its connections in hopes of discovering the origins of consciousness.
I am with you. Our value as a race doesn't come from our size...because we are like tiny specks of dust in a universe that's larger than we can even comprehend. Our value certainly isn't in our strength, since we are at the mercy of all the natural forces at play within the cosmos. Truly...we are valuable, special, and important because of our ability to think, perceive, love, create, and remember. We are valuable because of those things we can do as a result of the amazingly intricate and beautifully- designed mind that we carry with us everywhere we go.
Great write! Thanks for sharing.
I have read the review Rick Puetter gave this poem, and though he is a thousand times smarter than I am, I have to disagree with him. I believe we are indeed "complex beyond any desigh"; we are not weat and simple. I know we are small, but we are not inconsequential. That power which made us did not make us to be inconsequential.

The Earth won't remember you, but you'll remember the Earth. Love won't remember you but the love you give will be remembered by you and the recipient. So love and love the Earth because when we die, the soil should be rich with love.
