Simple pleasures are their own reward. People we don't need 15 pairs of acid or stone washed jeans. That come in 28 different sizes and cuts. Happiness comes from needing little and giving much. If you learn to be content everything else is an unexpected joy.

i am speachless yet it makes me sad with the children of today i reach out in prayer if i can't go that far to little spirits like that this was just so lovely it touched and Broke my heart so beautiful Life is too short to wast i will agree on that looking with a pure child like heart also helps us see the things we are blind to thats how i see life even though some of the world is currupt we can't allow the curruptness to stop us from enjoying the small littel beautiful things of life like our life early morning sun sets Beuatiful funny shapes in the clouds god gives us so amazing make our hearts smile and that little happiness and laughter is good for us make the day well worth living every day. Thank you for sharing my friend you always have such beautiful and wise words May God bless you and your family always i hope you're well and your family as well take care lily :)
As they say, "Idle hands are the devil's tools." Those that can put their troubles aside and take pleasure in doing something, anything that gives him/her a sense of purpose or joy find there way out of their troubles without thinking at it so much (yeah, yeah, yeah... I'm working on it!) lol... seriously, I beat myself up over this advice on a daily basis. Problem is I am wicked busy and I STILL keep thinking :) However, I am a wickedly happy person too. I love to do a lot of things - but I also enjoy my simple quiet space for me. Balance! :)
The innocence of childhood is indeed a precious thing. Somewhere, deep inside there remains flashes of memory of a little boy, staring at his own hands and thinking, 'Who, and what am I?' Nice poem, Tate.

thanks dave. I am not sure i know who i am but I know who Im not
Very touching and spiritual. I liked this poem for its meaning and its drive. Bringing the simple things to the forefront of our busy and hectic lives.
It's true, simple pleasures are their own reward. Just that one simple moment of joy that could make your day =D
It's a beautiful poem, and it really shows tha certain things you just don't grow out of. Maybe adults tend to think they don't need to or shouldn't do certain things, but those are the simple things that could make you happy.
The greatest advice is to find again the child that was the natural best of who we could ever attain to be.
The obsevation is a gift to your own soul that you have shared with us here.
The poetry was the perfect presentation to let this truth sooth the seeking mind.
Again, I am in your debt for this gift today. Thank you Tate!

We are aour best in our youth .Innocence the key to heaven
Very beautiful, we need to keep focus on the simple things in life that bring us joy and to retain our childlike hearts and some of the innocence we once had.
From one gentle to one young, the poem brings a great deal to say about the two that may be similar. But one grows in wonder while the other makes of it a perception. Nice, Tate.
