Worthy of My Friends

Worthy of My Friends

A Poem by Tate Morgan

Through path and switch with company skipping along the winding road I pass food and accompany with he whom life seldom bestowed

To walk the roads of soul strewn streets

with all thoughts we know of living

Leaves us lonesome for others feats

finds sharing to come from giving

Through path with switch and company

skipping along the winding road

I pass food and accompany

with he whom life seldom bestowed

In those who share my few comforts

won't you join me in life's amends
For as long as I walk this earth

may I be worthy of my friends

Author's Note

Tate Morgan
To all who have known the trials of a life beset with tribulation. I would just like to say the things that make life worth living are not to be found in pursuit of wealth. I never remembered anyone fondly for the station they held in life.True wealth for me is held within the hearts of those I have loved and who dared to love me.

The true meaning of knowing one another. I find this profound, and soulful. 'Soul strewn streets' is a phrase that I consider the most beautiful, for many walk, seeing people as objects, never once attempting to feel the numerous heart beats around. How gorgeous is it to treasure friends so strongly. You sir, are magnificent!

Yes, as we get older we have learned not to be so selfish, and we tend to give, to help more freely. Life is to be shared and enjoyed.
Really loved this one Tate, we should all learn to share and love and give more.
Wonderful poem

Love that closing Tate, wonderful wordcrafting. Oddly enough I kinda say the same thing about my dogs, lol, may I be worthy of the love and praise they silently heap upon me every day :o) Giving of ourselves is never really effortless, but then nothing worthwhile ever does come easy. Oh so worth every effort though!

A very strong message in few words. The flow and beat of thsi work is excellent, the advice second to none. This is something we should all work towards, and be a shining example to our children as well. Great stuff!

A beautifully structured piece of writing with a true message that screams to be heard. May we all be worthy of those who are true friends...
Your phrasing is wonderful Tate and much thought has gone into the writing of this.
Enjoyed the lesson!
