Such a metaphor for my own life the tin man. Often I am right as rain. Moments later set by depression and doubt. Then the rain comes washes away the blues and I am fine again. The sun comes up and shines upon me again. All my worries pale in consequence.

Hi Tate, After having a break I find this easier too read...Sometimes when you have been working n your own work it's hard to get into a different rhyme, so my fault not yours! I was going to add to my original comment but it seems it has been deleted?!

I feel very human after having read this .. of course I have had these feelings myself ..
I love the use of rain then sun and daisies to uplift the poem ..
A wonderful poem, Tate.. and a Happy Memorial Day to you ..
I can relate on a very personal level here. A metaphorical cleansing away of doubt. I think this was very well written and the tin man made me smile. (The Wizard of Oz is one of my favorites) Well done, Tate.
In identify with your note very much, but I truely love the fact that I'm either riding high or tasting the bottom I can honestly say I'm never numb and as the years progress the high rides seem to out number the falls so I see it as a much more ideal existance rather than crusing through without ever really feeling anything. I guess you could say the climbs and sharp falls make it more like a roller coaster at least the rides interesting.
Without a doubt, this poem describes the very essence of what it is to be human Tate. Your Authors note is a comforting one I expect, for many who read it, especially here. We writers and poets often feel as you describe. The wizard of oz, a wonderful metaphor of a movie...good over evil...whose shoes would you rather wear?
