Queen of the Night

Queen of the Night

A Poem by Tate Morgan
"

So like the ebb and flow of tide life's joys and sorrows surrender To the never ending song of love we both give as much as we render

"

Look to the moon queen of night

she causes the ocean to attend her

And he so long as she is in sight

has full tide to kiss her tender

When she at last turns off her light

he calls the mighty waves to moan

With low ebb manifests his sorrow

heaving the fathoms with every groan

So you the keeper of my heart beat

have my joys attending your will

Lifting the weight so high and so deep

causing loves every wave to fill

When you are gone away from me

as you sometimes are known to depart

Causes my very soul to ache

waves of sorrow flow from my heart

So like the ebb and flow of tide

life's joys and sorrows surrender

To the never ending song of love

we both give as much as we render

Author's Note

Tate Morgan
There is a beautiful relationship between the soul of humanity and the sea.And any who have spent time at night listening to the calls from ancestors from across it know what I mean. The pulse of the ocean in the crashing waves say to us we are Home.

ok, the relation to the sea is amazing, the ideas and imageries presented in this piece are very appealing to me, and are pretty strong!
i would say this isn't exactly your best piece, in my point of view, i've read much better work by you, but here's the trick, even this is nice, so nice!
you write good! so good... that even the weakest of your work (in my opinion) remains profound still!

I adore the dichotomy expressed in this work. The power of La Lune on the sea, its frequency and how it relates to the emotions of a relationship. Nicely done. Truly enjoyable and very romantic. Thanks for sharing.

This was primal and soothing, loving the wash of the ocean heartbeat in the words.

Wow have never read a poem about the moon in such words and about the soul i can hear the words that they say and it is peaceful.

Awwwww this made me "awe"! So cute, so true and so pure. The diction was elegant and filled with emotion, and the love behind each word was breath-taking! Brilliant, Brilliant job!

I love this to bits !! I can't tell you how much it touched my soul Tate, purely and simply because of the way it was written of course. The choice of words, the way one could compare it to a human relationship is just awesome.

Thank you for share
