Days to Remember

Days to Remember

A Poem by Tate Morgan
"

Build your dreams with greatest care Don’t think on lives great sorrowed past Create a world so wondrous That through ice and fire it will last

"

Tatertot and I

Tatertot and I sharing a life lesson

We are architects of our fate

working within constraints of time

Some mens lives do seem so blessed

while others seem riddled with crime

For each of us stack stones of life

from our yesterdays we borrow

The blocks from which we build our days

are foundations for tomorrow

Build your dreams with greatest care

don't think on life's great sorrowed past

Create a world so wondrous

that through ice and fire it will last

Your child’s future held in your hands

go from failures cold darkened din

Show your son where you are going

not the tale of where you have been

There is a beautiful message expressed here illuminating the path for what lies ahead.. building a strong tomorrow for our children. What a vivid, lifting write!

"And thus the thief steals for his beloved..." We can't all make great examples for those we have begoth but we can always try to help them find their own way. Every passing day is another stone that we add to this foundation called our lives. We choose each brick from the roots in which our parents have sprouted but not all parents can give to thee the water of life in which we grow. We try our best to show our kids. This was beautifully written and great advice to mend a broken mind.

The poem speak with wisdom and great experience. I believe the same. No-body cares about what we did in the past. What matters is what we do today. A outstanding poem.

I love the message of your poem. A lot of parents nowadays focus on teaching their kids what is past, and, in the end, causing their kids to delve on the past a lot. This should not be so. And you pointed that out well in your poem. There are no perfect parents, but you could try to be the best you can be. I love the author's note as well. We must look to the future, because there's no use in crying over spilled milk. Very timely reminder!
