Days to Remember

Days to Remember

A Poem by Tate Morgan
"

Build your dreams with greatest care Don’t think on lives great sorrowed past Create a world so wondrous That through ice and fire it will last

"

Tatertot and I

Tatertot and I sharing a life lesson

We are architects of our fate

working within constraints of time

Some mens lives do seem so blessed

while others seem riddled with crime

For each of us stack stones of life

from our yesterdays we borrow

The blocks from which we build our days

are foundations for tomorrow

Build your dreams with greatest care

don't think on life's great sorrowed past

Create a world so wondrous

that through ice and fire it will last

Your child’s future held in your hands

go from failures cold darkened din

Show your son where you are going

not the tale of where you have been

Be the beacon your child uses to light his way!
Not the darkened night he shuns!

Thank you Jewel I do love my family. I am very glad you liked it
This is so true. With our actions we show our children who we are, so if we give them love they learn to love. But, if we show them hate, that's what they learn to receive.

You penned a lot of wisdom into a very few owrds here, especially show your sone where you are going, not where you have been. Excellent

I love how you write with so much sentiment, and your poetry is like liquid the way it flows, so fluid, and beautiful. This again is a very touching piece, and a lovely example if your work - Nice job!

I loved the well defined structure of this poem a lot, I'm always a fan of pieces which have a well defined structure.
Because I believe if a poem is true, then the structure can never compromise with the emotions of the poet and you proved me right.
I loved the feelings behind your words here a lot, it was very nostalgic..loved it :)
I don't know exactly why, but it reminded of my dad :(
