Over the Rainbow

Over the Rainbow

A Poem by Tate Morgan
"

There memories go to bloom again in the warm spring rains of the sky He’ll see her beauty stand before him not the passage of time go by

"

No more words dreamed by the poet

the skies are not kissed by the dew

Stories of the life they once shared

just memories of loves sweet hue

Tender words no longer touch him

gentleness he no longer lives

Alone he hides within himself

no beauty in life left to give

Music no longer rules his soul

a quiet mind surrounds this heart

Darkness descends upon the world

since he and she were torn apart

For he so loved her so complete

shared with her inner thought

To heaven go his soul alone

a lifetime with love he fought

There memories go to bloom again

in the warm spring rains of the sky

He’ll see her beauty stand before him

not the passage of time gone by

Then these two will greet each other

like some old friends and lovers do

To find the love they lost in life

where wonders of passions renew

Beautiful and so perfect. I felt this great loss when my wife died. You have captured that like no other writing I have ever seen. And then you do a wonderful transition to hope. The story is not over there is more to come. I almost feel God had you write this for me. It is a blessing to me. With tears in my eyes I say thank you.

It is a sad poem but the feelings are true. It is a lonely place (grief) when you lose someone. Then the world actually ask you and expect you to pick up your heart and move forward! Great poem full of depth and emotion!

Sad finish to a beautiful piece of writing .. ' There* memories go to bloom again in the warm spring rains of the sky He’ll see her beauty stand before him not the passage of time gone by ' .. hope and coming together put so elegantly * sp .

Ah, the simple duality of the soul-mate, of pleasure and rendering, of truth and pain, light and dark... but overall healing and companionship. We forget that there is but one for each... a truth made all the more apparent--I imagine--when the One is lost.

Oh this broke my heart to read. So many in the world have lost the ability to feel the softness of words and of the lover that speaks them truly. The way your heart has been broken is saddening and what's even more saddening is that there are more out there. This world is such a broken place filled with broken people and little healing takes place.

Sweet words no longer touch him
gentleness he no longer lives
Alone he hides within himself
no beauty in life left to give

These words are sadly beautiful, and sadly true for many. However, I have come to trust in my soul's wisdom - that life is filled with beauty and it is there for each of us. Any thoughts of separation from one another are an illusion. For in truth, there is none. Love cannot be lost. It is the only thing that is real in this world of illusions. Dear Tate, you write such sweet words that touch my soul. Please let my sweet words touch yours. And live gently.

Music cannot play in his soul
the quiet mind surrounds his heart
Darkness descends upon his world
since he and she were torn apart

I liked reading the poem. Melancholy is well expressed. Good job.
