Over the Rainbow

Over the Rainbow

A Poem by Tate Morgan
"

There memories go to bloom again in the warm spring rains of the sky He’ll see her beauty stand before him not the passage of time go by

"

No more words dreamed by the poet

the skies are not kissed by the dew

Stories of the life they once shared

just memories of loves sweet hue

Tender words no longer touch him

gentleness he no longer lives

Alone he hides within himself

no beauty in life left to give

Music no longer rules his soul

a quiet mind surrounds this heart

Darkness descends upon the world

since he and she were torn apart

For he so loved her so complete

shared with her inner thought

To heaven go his soul alone

a lifetime with love he fought

There memories go to bloom again

in the warm spring rains of the sky

He’ll see her beauty stand before him

not the passage of time gone by

Then these two will greet each other

like some old friends and lovers do

To find the love they lost in life

where wonders of passions renew

Beautiful and so perfect. I felt this great loss when my wife died. You have captured that like no other writing I have ever seen. And then you do a wonderful transition to hope. The story is not over there is more to come. I almost feel God had you write this for me. It is a blessing to me. With tears in my eyes I say thank you.

Simply breathtaking in its beauty. Emotional without being exaggerated, wonderfully crafted. The rhyme was constructed impressively accompanied by excellent imagery that paint and a smooth rhythm that made reading the poem a pleasure. The whole idea or plot line of the poem was touching. A well-written piece.

This is bittersweet but beautiful. Nicely written.

The writing itself is a piece of art. Beautiful! And I could see how it *might* be a fairytale, but I wad looking for more of a plotline. Kudos, though, for great writing! ;)

A story, a feeling, a life, a place. It's beautiful. What else can you say?

Very sentimental and slightly nostalgic piece, you have a lovely phrasing and this is one of the few rhyming poems I've read that doesn't sacrifice the content to maintain the rhyme. Beautiful poem. Also a huge fan of the song.
