Knowledge

A Poem by Tate Morgan
"

Don't fear the ones with their own ways For they may know what we do not

We come into life as innocents

no prejudice upon our soul

Washed clean by a new beginning

not a single debt, nor a toll

We have two choices most of us

codes of fathers we just swallow

Or blaze a path in loneliness

others wonder but don't follow

It is that rare one we may find

who chooses to go his own way

These are the ones we all admire

not for them but us we should pray

Fearless souls unafraid to die

they the ones bucking convention

Who teach us all our life's follies

by adding a new dimension

As life progresses onward

to it's predestined conclusion

We learn then teach the least of us

to see truth not the delusion

Don't fear the ones with their own ways

for they may know what we do not

He who turns toward forgiveness

has discovered what most forgot

Honestly I don't think you could have one without the other. This piece's message resonates deep inside the readers heart.

You may single-handedly make me change my indifference toward poetry =)

I just rated another of your poems and I must say, you truly have talent. As I've said many times, I'm not a big fan of poetry, but I'm beginning to look forward to reading yours.....

Fabulous!!

Another excellent poem. You seem to like the traditioal ABCB type stanzas; and with good reason. Albiet I wonder if tis not knowledge but wisdom you speak of*

Tis true; we all need more forgiveness. First, we must learn to forgive.

lol I just recorded this song on Karaoke I have a soft spot for this song it gives me chills. and love ur poem and to the one who wrote this song he definitely made his own path in life not following the norm. what a waste of a life to have died in vain such a great talent who is kept alive in his brilliant songs

All your lines --- Ain't they mine too? Why do the same resonate in me?
How beautifully you have expressed them!

All the lines are gold! But still if somebody asks me to pick the best, I have almost your whole poem :) ---

Your writing carries a profound message of hope... of forgiveness... of life without the limitations of heritage... Thank you for giving a message so needed, wrapped in a flow and form so beautiful...

Wow i see truth in this. Your words have blown me away and somehow i feel there's a deeper meaning to this piece, even beyound the words. The different path, those who come across to the "normal" people as bizzare or strange for believing in somthing different. A man once said that each reader will see somthing differenty and this is what i see in your words. Well done.

I dont normaly write reviews, not to mention ones this long with actual thought and meaning - so you know you've done somthign right. :)

...it seems like you put all your knowledge on one page. life is predestined but we decide our own outcome to a certain extent. the opening quote the is like very key and dear in my heart.
