Man, this is gorgeous! So full of loveliness! A resounding awwwh could be heard as the poem ended. What wonderful evoking of emotion-what a way to convey such an over-conveyed feeling!
And as usual your perfect flow and rhyme only helped your message through the minds (and hearts!) of your readers. I don't doubt that I'll return to read this poem again just to feel the beauty of it...

Really, thank you.

Just catching this one Tate. There always seems to be something special between a father and a daughter..hard to say what it is...the only word that fits is love.
Well done Tate

O h..okay..glad I
missed the drama
troublemaker then
Beautiful poem, and I see she appreciated it. But I am reminded of the Sweet Honey song, 'Your children are not your children. They come through you, but they are not of you.' Your poem shows the wonderful bond between parents and children. But, and I have to keep telling myself, we have to 'let them go', They do have their own Souls and have very different lives to the one's we had. But i love your idea, and I think i will do the same for both my children, and leave it in the bottom drawer, for them to find.

Thank you so much rico
Your daughter is so lucky to have you as her daddy. The love you hold for her is seen deep in the lines of this most personal of poetry.
A wonderful wonderful poem.
