God To Man

God To Man

A Poem by Tate Morgan
"

I am the deepening of the blue

"

  Picture son Tater-tot

I'm the deepening of the blue

upon the sky of man

I am the stories all told

like the billowing blowing sand

I am he who gave you life

beneath my sky gone gold

As sunset burns and dies

I give you my stars to hold

You have but one fleeting chance

plant the seeds of love to grow

Create a life long everlasting

such as none could ever know

Then you will be the gentle soul

upon whom all life does seek

You will inherit this little world

you the loving and the meek

My salute to thee, O! the Happy and all Loving Soul - Tate!

I loved so much these lines...

"Plant the seeds of love to grow.
Create a life long everlasting.
Such as none could ever know.

Then you will be the happy soul."

Thanks for such great inspiration! I would also try to write by listening to my heart and soul :)

What a soft and sweet poem to read, i very much enjoyed reading it. It reminds me of the poems my grandmother used to hang on her fridge, as a kid I thought that stuff was a bore. Now I find comfort and compassion in poems like these

Thank you Sarah. I always see the better part of us in the hope we will find a better way.
Hello Tate, I wish that I could be so optimistic as these lines but there seems to be this disconnect with people in society these days that trickles into my poetry and makes it near impossible to write with hope in my lines I am trying good sir but it seems to come out forced and forced never makes for good poetry. I will have to bank these lines in my memory and let them percolate into something of hope as they did so finely IN YOUR lines!

Beautiful words, my friend. And as heartfelt a prayer as this old drifter has heard in too long.
So many thinking only if themselves, thinking only of today. I have spent too many nights asking the moon what kind of world my daughter is going to inherit.

Tate Morgan,
The clues of good live in people...clues to design...desire to be good....find good...to fail...and cry. Still looking for the glory. This poem a reminder of the good God of all and our need.
Blessings,
Kathy
