My Girl

My Girl

A Poem by Tate Morgan
"

The girl I loved most in life

"

My Girl

With the girl I loved most in life

I walked in street lamps glow

Could she hear my heart calling

for the love I never show

Treading lightly along beside

her footprints marked the snow

The warmth of heart I felt for her

I doubt she will ever know

With the girl I loved most in life

I walked in street lamps glow

Oh if I could stop Earth turning

then she might never go

A gem stone of my life every bit as precious as the eyes from which she views the world.

Hi Iron thank you
A love as this never ends but kisses steps of every day and morrow as long as we breathe!! I had a love as this but he died in a tragic accident - shall always, always, always love him!! My first love, my forever love so I can relate to your longing dear Tate!!!
May her emerald eyes ever twinkle for you from the present and the beyond!!

thank you Sheila
A sweet bit of nostalgia here, for a lost love. The earth does turn, time moves on, and so do we.
