Bottle of Rain

Bottle of Rain

A Poem by Tate Morgan
"

The end of one love is the beginning of another.

"

I've come to bury the last of love

beneath this willow tree

In the deep forest I went

where no one else could see

___________________________

Held within this bottle of rain

are the tears I cried for her

The many nights I couldn't sleep

as I dreamed of how we were

___________________________

I'll place on it no pictures

spin thrice to forget the way

Save in me the pain she flowered

leave the dark for light of day

___________________________

I'll never visit her again

forever play all day in the sun

But night when no one else is there

I'll cry of her as the one

Tate

Such quiet and sorrowful pictures you paint. I feel as if I walk through your pain with you and feel the breeze within the willow you buried her under. Such a shattered heart makes everything so quiet, no? Such a strong piece, with the focus of a single journey, as a tear from eye to ground. I weep with you.

This is beautifully told. A true love story, with heartache. I can think of nothing worse on earth ! You shared with us a great and noble way of trying to deal with such a situation, and I thank you for that my friend. I pray it worked.

Take care,
Babs xx

What a beautiful poem on closure from that lost love.
"..Spin thrice to forget the way.." wonderful line.

A piece of your soul.. flowing with every teardrop contained.. very sad! Loved the flow.. embraced the emotions you shared.. the rhythm and rhyme were immense. This is one writing that if not fully over another.. you may not want to share.. you posted it.. so I hope this means you have healed and licked those old wounds. The one.. to me is the one who would do whatever it took to be there.. thick and thin.. in darkness and light.. though not everyone can deal with some people's darkness.. many cast that bottle away.. abandoning the weeping spirit.. can be cleansing. I loved your flow of honesty.. and hope you heal one day! Everyone is worthy of love.. and moving on!!! =)
