Tate and I

Whatever men say in blindness

or in spite of fancies of youth

Nothing's so kingly as kindness

while nothing's so royal as truth

We get back mete as we measure

one cannot do wrong and be right

Nor deal in pain to bring pleasure

for justice avenges each slight

So to the pain of his distress

whose earnings don't tell of his worth

An honest man this life will bless

despite the misfortunes of birth

Wow this writing is so apropos with what's going on in the United Kingdom with Megan and Harry and the Queen and royalty very thoughtful. I found the word be Noble to be almost out of place and yet it sits in the highest seat well written

yes they are .. the Universe in a blade of grass my friend .. this morning when i took Beauregard out for his business .. i stepped up to the upper drive and looked up to catch my first shooting star of the season .. it was a doozy too.... long trail and very bright .. we really are pretty insignificant after all eh!?

True. I saw a shooting star the other day it was green like copper and it flew across the sky burning

I must say I never remembered anyone in this life for the position that they held in society. Only for that position which they held within my heart

Nicely rhymed. It speaks of the things of true value, such as kindness and truth. It also evoke a hint of karma, noting that "justice avenges each slight." It's the type of piece that should be read especially at times when things don't seem to be going right.
