As in the times of the ancient mariner we all hear the call of sirens that gesture us to sail home. Continuity of purpose flows from the wellspring of our lives. In the end we all find we are drawn inexorably home, to the hearth from around which we told our tales of long ago and spun our yarns of a life well lived. The well spent life will always beckon from the winds of change a call for home.

As I dive off into this review comment, please allow me to share that my personal political views are not those of today's Democratic Party, as the last Democrat I supported and loved was John Fitzgerald Kenneday ... This shared, every once in a great while one can happen upon a truly good man in any political party, though their views may differ from ours ... This is a grand tribute to the man Bernie Sanders, whom I view as a good person and a fine man, though I do not share his political viewpoints ... I am unlikely to vote Democratic in the fall elections, but I would choose Sanders any day over a lying, two faced, euphemism spouting, Hilary Clinton, though I have no problem with a woman of character and honesty running for President of these United States of America ... That's the problem, she has no character to lean upon, and seeks only the sympathy of voters on the basis of her sex, rather than her integrity ... Sanders is a man of integrity, no doubt ... Excellent write ...

Too much of anything is never a good thing ... Israel is a nation that is a living example of capitalism, democracy, and socialism, working hand in hand for the good of the nation, and the common welfare of its people, as Israel is one of the most prosperous nations on earth, even in light of all its troubles at home ... That said, it is a shame that two good men, such as Bernie Sanders and Dr. Ben Carson, could not have joined forces to lead this nation towards a working balance of both political viewpoints and ideals for the benefit of our nation, rather than simply for the gain and prestige of a political party, any party ... But, things do not work as we wish they would in this all too real world we live in ... Thus, I speak of fantasy, rather than the present reality we face in potential nemesis of having Clinton, or Trump, as President ... I hope my thoughts makes sense ... Because what is going on in America today makes no sense at all ...

He does owe me an explanation as an average citizen ... A poor decision based upon pressure to support someone within his party I presume, but have no real clue ... I can only guess that he saw Trump as the only possible winner, but I vote for the man regardless of his chances of winning ... That is way it is supposed to be in this country, and if people voted their hearts more often good men would win ... Instead, everyone is more concerned about being on the winning side, than being on the right side by voting their hearts ... I think Ben Carson got blindsided by the wiles of real American Politics, underhanded, crooked, and ever changing ... As for Mr. Sanders, he may be viewed as unacceptable to the Democratic Party, because he would not be another President operating in the same manner that Obama has ... Hilary's ideologies and political agenda is identical to Obama's, and so with her as President nothing will really change for the better ... I suspect that Trump's agenda is no different to where no matter who might win between him and Clinton, the downhill slide of America will continue as per established Obama lines of dismantling America policies ... Of course, it could be that Sanders is unpopular with many upper echelon Democrats because he is Jewish, loyal to America, intelligent, and wise, to what is taking place in Washington ... Why would anyone with an ulterior motive of working to destroy the America our forefathers knew wish to see a better President in, when we can some more of the same crap type President, working hand in hand with whoever or whomever they are, wrapped up tidily in a different body style (female, businessman?) package of a ruler--most certainly not a leader? ... Someone, sight unseen in high places, perhaps the UN), does not want either party to put a good and wise man in the Oval Office, in my humble view … And whoever they may be, they do operate within both major parties and the problem is not exclusive to the Democratic Party alone, though it is much more visually detectable, whereas this movement is much more covert within Republican ranks ... Thanks again, for sharing this piece ... And I will shut my yap ...

As for Ben well I wish he had been a little stronger personality. But I cant forget his endorsement anymore than I can forget Clintons vote for the war. In that office one is the final arbiter of their fate. and ours. Qualification should include wisdom. I too vote my conscience and will vote for Bernie regardless of whether he wins nomination I will simply write him in if he is dismissed.,Many feel that way and would do so as much a vote for bernie as a vote against hillary. We shall see what happens But Bernie has rewritten the political landscape and redefined what it means to be selfless over selfish.

Great writing all in all. Your admiration for the man comes through loud and clear (and indeed I think there are many admirable things about him). Very well said.
Just a few small things:
In line 2 candles should be candle's
The sudden reference to "her" in stanza 3 is a little confusing; maybe consider rewording?
Stanza 5, line 1: They're s/b their
Only welcome of a good mans door will permit a monarchs entry: s/b man's and monarch's.
