In the four years since my granddaughter was born she has had a Bear. This bear stood her in good stead through laughter and tears. He was there when her father died. He dried up all the tears that they both cried. He has slept beside her every night and played with her everyday taking on any roll her skits called for. Payton is rarely seen without Bear.So when her mother called to tell us Payton had taken Bear to show and tell at preschool I had to smile. For here is the repository of all her hopes, dreams and fears. All contained in the little bear with the big heart.

Always beautiful sentiments, Tate. Another lovely and most loving write. Glad to hear that Teddy is holding up his end. Teddies are like that. They always find a way to do what they must do. They are such strong and loving creatures. Have her give him a big squeeze for me.
Best regards,
Rick

Thank you Rick yes it is comforting to know he is on the job
Well, to tell you a secret. In my early childhood, I used to have a stuff toy of Spiderman. It was something that in my life held paramount importance or significance. He slept with me, he ate with me, he even took bath with me. In a nutshell, it was something much lovelier than my soul itself. But, now it resides in my storeroom. But, I think today I must go and and search for it, just for the sake of nostalgia.
A beautiful poem!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for giving me a nostalgic vibe, it something I will never forget.

Empathy comes from execising ones emotions like a child

It was my privilege to have a piece like this. Only request keep sharing poems like this.
I had, (still have,) a Teddy bear, he's called 'Mr Tat.' He was a little worn, having been bought second hand from a jumble sale (at my request,) by my grandma. He knew all my secrets, still does in fact, which is why he is still with me after more than thirty years.
And what a lovely photograph of your granddaughter. T

Thank you Ole bear is so special i will like seeing him given to her daughter one day
There is a comfort in this poem...
Beyond a child's need, we all find comfort when we see fears abated and when we pair our inner child with the happy smiles and simple trust of the children around us.
Your author's note hits hard when I think of your position in the equation. You see the circle of life interrupted from a view with a clear perspective. You found a way to mirror hope and joy from your observations rather than to focus on the tears.
This is why your poetry is do dearly loved. There is simplicity for a casual read and depth for those willing to see your honesty about how you visualize life.
Thank you for creating such beautiful art.

I thank you from my heart to yours .The noble thoughts that pervade us all are always worth indulging and are in my opinion stronger than the painful ones so less worth our efforts and struggles thank you

Kids make us equals. They become a very important part of us.
It is amazing to think how much out toys know of us, pain, laughter, secret's - I do miss mine, well done, great read.
