I knew this this day would come. It is so near I can taste it. I will walk out to see him off with a smile upon my face. Give him the speech I like to call "what it means to be a man". Tell him to trust his instincts. Never take something for nothing. Never take unfair advantage of another nor let them take unfair advantage of him. Help those who need it and respect all the women in his life. "Son the value of a man lies not in what he owns, but in what he gives to others". Then I'll wave as he sets off, as my heart simply breaks.

Well that really upset me. I've got tears in my eyes right now. My son was 19 last week and had his heart broken for the first time. I sat and held him tight for a very long time.
A fathers bond with his son is for life. Do not fear that you are loosing him. You will be needed more than you know in the years to come.
if you build a house on firm foundations it will last a life time.

Thank you i was sitting here reading your review and reached fo the picture in black and white ofm Little tate forgetting it has a button on it and for the first time in 12 yrs I heard my little boy say "ME and Mitchell ^ years old " I had recorded that 12 years ago for the picture of him that had him and his cousin Mitchel sitting on a bench He leaves for college in 2 weeks .Thank you

Thank you Rose I believe that language is fluid it sways changes with the ages. And we the ones who preserve it are also the ones who make changes those of lasting effect. The English language is great for that one reason it changes with the times. i have a reason for the music I will tell you what it is. The stories of Homer were finally written down by the greeks . owever the story of Troy for instance was preserved for 500 yrs before it was chronicled. This because it was held in song. The reason we can hear a melody then recall the words is because they are held in a different part of the brain. it is my belief that part of the brain also holds emotional triggers for memories.. That is why we smell a pie cooking and think fondly of memories of grandmas house. The same is true of rhyme and meter set to music. it makes one recall similar memories in their own lives and releases the emotions appropriate to those memories. When i write of my own life and times it doesnt matter that these are my memories because the music from those days and the rhyme and meter release others memories of similar events in their own lives. I believe that is why my works touch so many They make people happy they make them remember fondly the moments of merit in their lives.
