you

you

A Poem by ariannehirsch

you

a stolen obscure question

filled me with depression

what are we?

you said we weren't meant to be

a meaningless scream towards hesitation

made you cause frustration

my  beating heart

made you depart

the dreary morning passing by

still waiting for your reply

I've turned into dust

you've lost my trust

the tears are dangling chandeliers off the edge of my chin

your the only one that can make me grin

my knees are still stained violet from our last fight

my knuckles are still sore, still white

I'm still craving for those three words to emerge from your mouth

but it's been months and you've moved down south

the pain I feel the most isn't from your bruises

the pain I feel is from your selfish lying excuses

now Im back to square one

while your out there having fun

I gave you the power to control me

don't break me please
