Ghost in the Night

Ghost in the Night

A Poem by Arianna Dean

Ghost’s in the night

Make no sounds

As they track their prey

People cower at the site of them

Scared they are

Afraid of dying

Ghost’s in the night

They give no warning

They just attack

They’re mad at the world

Mad at their treatment

Angered and hungry

They starve

Without the food

That was taken

Ghost’s in the night

They strike back

They are not to blame

They fight for what is theirs

What was taken from them

Live in peace

That’s what they wanted

People do not care

They just take

Ghost’s in the night

They fight back

Until the death they fight
