Lost Second

Lost Second

A Poem by Greg the Bard

Lost Seconds

The elder’s resolution of time

As it passes into oblivion

Is to call for the just to come forth

To answer for the wrongs

As each second passes never to come again

The life force of mankind is wasted

For not having the right to live

To not have a dowry to leave to history

She sees for the first time his eyes go soft

The realization of failure settles soft

He holds to his beliefs without denial of wrong

A belief that all things come to he who believes

Hundreds have failed only to see their fate with drawn

Now we see the end of time only to wonder why

The end can only come from within

Justus will avail the weak at heart

Make your arrangement with your sins

Capture the hope that God will stay

To fulfill his majestic ways

For the grace of forgiveness
