Your Cheating Fart

 

FORE THOUGHT: My daughter at the ripe old age of thirteen was getting into music in a big way. She came to me one day and we talked about music in general because I played the guitar myself and she wanted to know how I felt about her getting into music. I told her it was great as long as she kept an open mind about music in general. She asked me what I meant by that and this poem was born. I told her that words could always be inter changed for others and change a song completely. Again she asked how? I told her to take the country song “Your Cheating Heart” as an example and exchange the word “FART” for the word “HEART”.

Your Cheatin’ Fart will make you Weep

You’ll cry and cry and it can’t be Helped

But slee"eep won’t come

With you in tears

Your cheatin’ Fart

Will tell on you

Like fallin’ rain

You’ll wa"alk the floor
