Time

Time

A Poem by Greg the Bard

Time

The rain fell upon the brown cobble stone pads

Splatter was sounded with a dull reproach

Looking for a justice in its travels

Hoping for the start of a new life

Light in its movement to earth

Knowing that it will cleanse wet desire

Having cradled the mass of waters downpour

And drained the virtue of the light of day

Gray now the skies shown into its self

Giving cold to a wet wind

Leaving an icy death for plants everywhere

Taking the life flow of nature as it lay

Movement as with grace the clouds clear

The sun rises to melt away the world of frozen movement

Little will outlast the season of cold

Only the sun will

I wake to a new day in a life of many

Looking back I see my failures so clearly

Looking forward I have little time left

To set right my wrongs
