Who Is God?

Who Is God?

A Poem by Greg the Bard

Who Is God?

Is it wrong to ask “Who God is?”

Will it ever matter if we never know?

Can it be that God really doesn’t care?

Because in the end he is still there

Is it blasphemous to ask?

Are you condemned if you do?

Is it how others see you that counts?

Or how God accepts you?

To scientist the Universe started with a bang

No one asks what came before that

Outward traveling our galaxy goes

Into what no one knows

i enjoy controversial questions as these, because we really can't prove or disprove....all i know is that i'm grateful to have the freedom to choose belief and not have God forced down my throat. Though i believe there are divine miracles in our lives; there is also evil - i've heard countless times, if you don't believe in the devil - you don't believe in God - as if we don't want to take credit for the wrong and give the credit for the good to God...as if we humans don't want to be in total control; we need to believe there's something greater than us...to have hope.

I like this. being a christian myself I see no harm is asking that question. I really enjoy peaces that make the reader think, make them work. Take a stance. Then we get to see who we are through someone else eyes. I enjoyed thank you...and thank for the review and edit on my piece

I love this. The questions, and unsureness is what all humans feel at some point in your life. This one has me thinking!! :)

I think God knows and means for us to question something before we
believe or disbelieve it. I like your questions and the way it stops me and prompts me to ponder. wonderful writing.
