Worth

Worth

A Poem by Greg the Bard

Worth

An assignation is counterpart to justice

When justice is the assignation

Sublime in the mind of man

If the justice is subliminal in ones heart

A union now federal

Maintained well after its worth is gone

Each state dying slowly

Giving its life for their trust

Where-in lies the justice

If being just is worthwhile in the first place

Understanding ones place in the scheme of things

Leading in the wrong direction from the start

Now we as citizens are compelled

To stop the injustice

Our workers elect are giving themselves respect

Regard they do not deserve

You have a strong voice. I agree with Phibby - there is a sense of strong conviction. If only more people had the strength to speak out.

until the people speak up more firmly, things will continue as they are. i love the depth and feeling of this and the sense of such strong convictions come through clearly.
