Resolute Rain

Resolute Rain

A Poem by Greg the Bard

Resolute Rain

Rain comes in many colors

Blue, green, gray and white

The strength measured in time alone

Flowing quickly through the night

How wet can one get

When God graces our step

Children play in rain

Not seeing the treat

Blue and green dark and deep

Taking everything it touches

Killing creeping smothering all

Making life hard to endure

Men wade in high water fast

Looking for life still awake in water deep

Human animal makes no difference

Life is worth finding worth keeping complete

The weather clears the rain stops

Floods are cresting highest in years

People are going back to find their homes

Homes flooded and washed away

A new storm is coming

Winds and rain hard and vain

Man will endure the weather

To continue to live
