Apple Pie

Apple Pie

A Poem by Greg the Bard

Apple Pie

Things forgotten now remembered

Like Bobby Socks and Pedal Pushers

Brylcream boys and Leather Jackets

The Beatles and Chubby Checkers

Five generations a life time ago

Gentle kindnesses and hatred untold

Hidden secrets and joyful laughter

Boys growing up, girls growing older

Fifty seven Chevys and a bottle of whisky

A touch of hands a kiss in the dark

In the back seat now

They park and spark

Things forgotten now remembered

The lust of innocence lost

Bobby Socks and Pedal Pushers

 Leather Jackets and all
