Jason

Jason

A Poem by Greg the Bard

Jason

Bashful Eros was so shy

Making time to apply

The summer sun was winter cold

As autumn night kills roses bold

Within a gapping wondering hole

Jason the explorer renames his fold

The Argonauts brace for adventures journey

Asking help from Heracles a half God in depth

Still forthright does the ocean of salt

Reflect its dead up from the froth

For in the bashful Eros men can dwell

For loves ocean envelopes the soul of man

Cupids play is less an arrow throw

His torch is splendid with hearts aglow

Reason your fate you men of woo

In slumber you feast with sex ado

The crippled fate of Jason found with a sow

He finds the love of flesh his last adventure

For as he journeys forward, backward he goes

Time is against him in an ocean of love
