Momeee!

Momeee!

A Poem by Greg the Bard

“Momeee!”

She stood her ground; after the deem mood had changed

The little ones tears rolled down his broad cheeks

Her eyes narrowed as she tried to resolve the plight

He just kept to his sad attentions

She stood her ground; knowing well his face would give

The look of delight if she gave in

To the ever ending spoiling of a toddler

Yet he too knew what was at stake

She stood her ground; only to fall to his secret weapon

For in her effort somewhere in the mind of a child

He found the first of a tortured future

When he looked up and for the first time said “momeeee!”
