The Culprit

The Culprit

A Poem by Greg the Bard

“THE CULPRIT”

When in our lifetime do we become?

The Culprit but not the Crook

Abstaining from the ordinary

Following the course that is right

When in a man’s quick stay

He kills without understanding his wrong

Moving forward trying for reason

Finding more death than he can explain

When in the course of history

It is recorded against one person

A lose for all that attribute kindness

Yet find a dark end to a cause

When for a lack knowing

Can a Government accept its responsibility?

Telling all yet knowing that the tell is not enough

Like saying sorry after the fact

We as the people of the Government

That is and has been wrong are at fault

That we are the culprit

With a thin line next to ...  crook
