All through these years

All through these years

A Poem by Chirag Kumar

Gloomy eyes,
speak volumes
of the pains,
the dingy rains
I drenched in,
all through these years.

Deceased skin,
express anguish
of daily lies,
the midnight cries
I lived in,
all through these years.

Raw wounds,
inhuman tortures
are a sign,
nothing is fine.
Suicide in waiting,
all through these years.

Thickened blood
here, there,
yell of infidelities,
the intriguing moralities,
I burnt in,
all through these years.

Dry tears,
swollen face,
dying for freedom,
from the fiefdom.
Object of abuse,
all through these years.

And thus,

plunging heart,
thudding alive
with a vengeance,
payback in resemblance
of my plight,
all through these years.

Enraged hands,
already charged,
to smear misery,
soothe my agony
inflicted upon me,
all through these years.

I expect to me the images you present may not be as intended. I see an abused woman living out her life in an abusive relationship and death by one's own hands is up for consideration as life goes on with hope of a better life.

Very well done with good flow and content.

People will stand and take abuse over and over until they become convinced that there is a believable, reliable, alternative that is guaranteed to take the place of their known abuse!

True words, Wordman.
My!
A soul wrenching poem, Chirag!
Made me shudder!
Domestic violence is still not dealt with as much seriousness as it is needed to be.
Great moving write!

Sadly true... Taking a stand against it, is the only way out.

Thanks for appreciating my work, KWP
Bravo! It's not how many time you get knocked down in life that speaks of who you are, it is how many times you get back up. If more people would embrace, rather than turn their back and ignore the victims of this kind of violence it would happen less often. Clap! Clap! Clap!
