Karma has its own way

Karma has its own way

A Poem by Chirag Kumar

Life is pacing.
Tempers fleeting with impatience,
has besieged the living.
Materialism is the new world order.
Money is the popular mantra,
our ultimate fodder.

Relations have been vitiated.
Inner evils are raging unabated.
Tongues being weaponized,
to inflict wounds of swords.
Pride, ego, jealousy are the modern demigods.

Parents who nurture their children with care,
are subjected to bouts of grief and despair.
Some beaten black and blue,
some thrown out of their place.
The wombs have been termed as "creators of disgrace".

No one bothers to pay heed to such souls,

for everyone's beguiled in their self - seeking goals.

Wrinkles wetted by tears of desolation on poor faces.
But hopes of change will uproot the evils traces,

for in the arms of Karma I place my conviction,
that the flagitious won't be spared under Your jurisdiction.

Your poems are so raw and real and they make me feel something.
"Tongues being weaponized to inflict wounds of swords" Is probably my favorite line. Awesome imagery. :)

Bravo!
An intense poem.
There is so much wrong in the world that one cannot put faith in any justice than the Karma, for whatever you do right or wrong its watching and surely get back.
Great write, teaches us a few lessons actually.
