Rebuttal

Rebuttal

A Poem by Chirag Kumar
"

A poem attempting to draw attention on the serious issue of domestic violence.

"
Pessimism throngs my life,
when you get down to strife.
The pain you inflict,
mere remains of conflict.
My wounds seem shallow,
but the heart bleeds deep,
and I stay silent,
calm,
non - violent.
I gulp down your abuse,
plead for a worthy truce.

But, finally I burst,
to quench my revenge thirst,
destroying your notions,
thwarting the systems in motions.
I rise, to your surprise,
and with my rattling crest,
your lives are put to test.
The turmoil, distressing yet subtle.
But, a strong rebuttal.

So C Kumar, you are speaking as the earthquake in your poem here, am I correct? If this is the case, just what have the humans done over the years in Nepal except live their lives if they are residents or climb the mountains if they are not. Why is nature so upset?

Ok, not just Nepal then. That would be entirely unjust!

I made this poem after learning about the disasters in Nepal. But I agree with you on this.

Some things are beyond our control, one of which is Nature. Thanks for the review :)
Very nice writing. I could feel the building of time and control until the opportunity came to rise up. Thank you for sharing.

Thanks for your review Willard :)
I appologize for my lack of knowledge, but (since you wrote that it's dedicated to Nepal), what conflicts do you mean? I'm not trying to imply there aren't any, I am just curious. I like the poem though and I can't see any flaws in it.
