At a time

Immemorial

It was

Ordained

That

Two springs

Would

Surge forth

From

The substratum

Of

The Earth

In perpetuity

 

The waters

Of

One spring

From

A pristine,

Mountain,

Inception

Sparkled

In

The afternoon

Sun

With crystalline

Lure

Creating

The purest

Of brooks

Nourishing

Mother Nature

And

Sustaining

Mankind

 

The second

Spring

Polluted

And corrupt

Reeked

Of noxious,

Sulfurous

Vapors

And emanated

From

The fiery

Volcanic

Abyss

Of Hell

Itself

Its tainted

Waters

Poisoned

Mankind

With

Death,

Disease,

And destitution

 

It could be

No

Other

Way

For Allah Himself

Was

Bound

By the

Spirit

Of divine

Justice

To allow

His

Creations

Their

Freedom of choice

Between

Good

And evil

This runs to (some extent) paralell with the book of Genesis.

Am curious as to ...whether this was inspired by scriptures ...or poetically retelling?

Oh, wow! That was a really cool poem! You painted a very clear picture in my head with the "two springs" thing. I'm pretty certain that the springs represent good and evil... given away at the end. lol Free wil is definitely the most terrible and beautiful ability that God has given us. Thankfully, there are a precious group who choose the right paths in life. ^^
