You "pull rank" by saying something like, "I am on an emergency mission for the CIA.  I am the leader, Agent Orange."  A type of doliant and a joke but a level of terrorism as well, right?  High!

So, you "pull rank well" by using magic from the future and saying "I am 'with' (not in) the CIA in the future and know that this investigation is critical to me.  Give up and let them go.  I outrank you..."   That is a cool pull of rank, just saying you are more important than whatever else!
