Cold and Alone

Cold and Alone

A Poem by Kevin S.
"

The wind rushes through the trees The bitter cold settles in Snow flying, darkness falling The sun stolen away

"

The wind rushes through the trees
The bitter cold settles in
Snow flying, darkness falling
The sun stolen away

Walking blindly through the night
My soul aching, cold and alone
Seeking the warmth of your embrace
Searching for your smile

Your smile lost, no memory stored
I search my mind for what was
I have lost my life
It was taken, along with you

Gone in the darkness
Left cold and alone
I have grown so old without you
You must now be wrinkled and gray

The light peeks in, I open my eyes
You’re still beside me
Slumbering so sound
It was only a nightmare

On a cold, dark night

This was surreal.. I was lost inside your words.. Divine that they were.. my favorite part?

The light peeks in, I open my eyes
You're still beside me
Slumbering so sound
It was only a nightmare
On a cold, dark night

Ahhh the purity of it.. Loved it..
