Sanzen

A Poem by V.B.
"

Ever the optimist.

"
someday will come, i know. and i'll be there,
lying motionless in some damp bourbon aftermath,
watching long-dead fireballs float their deception
on a grim crystal ocean of after-dark skies.
and then,
when the whole goddamn valley is electrified
by the static of ghosts and broken clocks,
i'll be the one cursing mutely at thoughts
of what it would have been like
to have been someone who changed the world.

Drinking and dreaming, I don't know if one man/woman could change the world on their own, but together we can move mountains. Sad really, most don't really want change, as long as the world is peachy in their own front yard they seem to be content with the system...It will take the voice of unity to bring about change, but I think we have a long way to go before we get there, if at all...

Great Write Blake!

Someday

Too little too late to change our world, we are on the path of our own destruction and I fear it is too late to change course. Your poem is dynamic and full of the right descriptive to give it that perfect feeling of regret. Excellent write.
