Forks

Forks

A Poem by Imara
"

It's a silly poem about how awesome forks are! Not to be confused with towels (for all the hitchhiker fans out there)

"
Never forget your fork,
Whether you travel through land or sea.
A fork is useful in more ways than you can see.
You could bring a spoon
but not much good that would do
when fighting a marble skinned rasue.
Of course you could bring a knife
and spear your monsters left and right
But what would happen at dinner that night?

Therefore always bring a fork
whether in the space caverns of Betelgeuse
Or in the far away sea ports at mer-cruse.
A fork, so perfect,
metal, evenly sponged and strong,
Will always play the finest tune no matter the song.
If you should find yourself stuck
and needing to fix a machine
a fork, of course, is the quickest means.

The uses of a fork,
they never end.
So learn, explore, alone,
Or maybe with friend.
But always with a fork!

You are welcome...:)
I loved the poem. It is very originally and creatively written. Much harder work than writing on something serious. It was a greatly entertaining read. Now I'll look at forks with new eyes and treat my forks with more care... :)

Thanks a lot Imara!

Oh thank you for your kind review! I'm so glad that so you liked it ^_^
I love the silliness of this one, sometimes we just have to go where the muse takes us, delightful read with coffee, no fork needed, might I suggest a spork, in case you have soup?! ;-)

Ha, my pleasure, I love fun reads like this....!
You say it's about forks, but it could apply to so many different things, even if you didn't mean it that way.

I enjoyed it! It was quite amusing. :) And nice contrast to how almost everything on here is highly depressing.

Thank you so much! And yes it could be applied to other things, like towels ;)

Haha yes.. read more
i find this hysterical...because i kept thinking of More Letters from a Nut by Ted Nancy...
the first letter in the book is to the Good Cook Dinner Fork company..and is about how much Ted loves his fork.

You are most welcome :)
I always think of the spoon as being the most useful utensil, but you make me see forks in a different way.
