The Phone Call (chapter 2 of The Angels on Earth (A Sequel to The Guardian Angel))

A Chapter by Rhonda

After Rhonda read the note, she decided to do her homework.

When she was done with her homework, her cell phone rang.

"Hey Rhonda."

"Hi Brian. How did you get my number?"

Brian liked Rhonda. He knew that Jesus and her were going out.

"I found it in the phone book. Say, why don't we have dinner on Friday night?"

"Brian, you know that I'm going out with Jesus."

"Yeah. Will you dump him?"

"No. Bye Brian."

She hung up the phone, but she wanted to call her friend (the friend that's having her go to the mall on the 26th.).

"Hello." Justin said.

"It's Rhonda. I need to tell you something."

"Yeah?"

"Since it's Jesus's and my anniversery on the 26th, could we change it to the 28th?"

"No problem."

"Thanks Justin."

"Your welcome."

"So, how's Dana?"

"She's not so great. I think I'm gonna dump her."

"Why?"

"It started yesterday. She wants to know everywhere I go. She won't stop calling me even when I told her that I was doing my homework."

"You should dump her. She was so nice though. That's too bad."

"I am tommorrow at school."

"Well, good luck. I have to go."

"Bye."

She hung up the phone.

She heard her parents' car pull up in the driveway.

As they opened the front door, Rhonda came out of her room.

"What's for dinner?" she asked.

"KFC." her step-dad replied.

"Cool."

Rhonda ate dinner peacefully.

After dinner, the doorbell rang.

"I'll get it." Rhonda shouted.

She opened the door and found Jamilett, Jenny, Angie, and Juli at her doorstep.

Jenny was Jamilett's little sister. She had tanner skin than Jamilett. Jamilett was 17 and Jenny was 15.

Angie used to live on the court, but she moved with her mom. Her mom dad got a divorce. Angie was 16 like Rhonda. She had ebony hair always warn in a ponytail. Her skin was lighter than Jenny's, buy darker than Jamilett's.

Juli is Jamilett's and Jenny's youngest sister. She was 7. Juli's skin was like Jamilett's.

"Can you come out?" Jamilett asked.

"Yeah."

They walked down the court quietly.

As they reached Jamilett's house, Jesus came out.

"Hey." he said to them.

"Hey." they all said.

Rhonda's phone started ringing.

She looked at her phone.

"555-1288? Who's that?"

She answered it.

"Hello."

"I know where you live and I know what your name is Rhonda." a deep voice said.

"Who is this?"

"I'm coming over to your house tommorrow at 4:30 p.m."

The person hung up.

"Oh no!"

"What?" Jesus asked.

"There's this man that knows where I live and what my name is. He's coming over to my house tommorrow at 4:30 p.m."

"Do you want us to come over and defend you?" Jamilett asked.

"Sure."

Dakota was still Rhonda's guardian angel.

"I have to get down on Earth." he thought.
