Love at Last

Love at Last

A Poem by Annie Coram

Love at Last

What does it feel like?

Falling deep, deep, deep down a hole.

A little rabbit hole.

Am I following a little white rabbit?

Deep, deep, deep.

It’s a slumber.

It feels like

falling deep into sleep,

profoundly into tranquility.

Snug and secure, witnessing a very pleasant dream.

The kind which you never want to wake from.

I hold your hand,

and you hold mine.
