How did we get here?

How did we get here?

A Poem by Aprils Child

How did we get here?

We must ask ourselves

How did we get to this place

Where

Children are killing children

and

Brother killing brother

Violence of today

knows no particular race

It is killing us all

Regardless of the color of our face

We must ask ourselves

How did we get to this place

Where

Parents are afraid to send their children to school

And

Our teachers are afraid to teach thats not cool

Every day on the news

We see another one gone

Another life lost

Another child with a gun

We must ask ourselves

How did we get to this place

This explains a lot about life these days. I get where you're coming from and I think you did a good job writing.
