Winter Memories

A moment a fleeting glance
A blush forming in her cheek
Weak, a trembling stance
Lonely eyes unable to speak

A shiver, surrounded by the snow
A scarf I wrapped around her neck
An infant face, her perfect glow
Curious lips, that just had to check

A kiss, the perfect embrace
A smell, so honey sweet
A heartbeat, that could win a race
My pulse, that just skipped a beat

A memory, of how we stood there
A bitten lip, when time seeped by
An emptiness that hung in the air
With hollow eyes unable to cry
