Find Your Way Again

Find Your Way Again

A Poem by aprilrayne

Fond thoughts find their way,

But it’s the bad ones that seep through and have it.

Carrying out lust like it’s a delivery,

You sell your attraction so short

Packing a tool too hard to swallow

Couldn’t believe you if I tried

And I wouldn’t want to

Cause it’s in those moments that I lay awake and think

How easy it would be to just…

give in.

Let you make a mess out of me with force

Or,

Merely my lack of self control…
It’s a shame to let you wield a gift not given.

And in this late hour

We both know that time has always been the evil one

Much too late, just too early

Never once in a lifetime

Always now.

And just around the bend where those thoughts find their way,

They find their way,

Find their way,

Again.

The darkest thoughts always do have a way of crushing the life out of the good ones, but sometimes, it is the strangest, most inconspicuous thing that points you in the direction of different thoughts. I hope you get to see something inconspicuous soon. Thank you for sharing. I enjoyed your words.
