the careful composition of a heart

the careful composition of a heart

A Poem by aprilrayne

Writhing, with thick anticipation

For the beat of relentless blood.

In a chasm of emptiness

A flood of emotion curtails the vertex of my abandonment.

Whilst seeming to feel you forget to show

Your words can speak louder than your actions.

When action causes reaction

And combusts the pleasantry of a fake claim to friendship.

Flushed and full

You ready your sharp recital.
Pulse by pulse you brag your bray in front of me.

You blunder and c**k your horns about your own semantic past.
You brandish a storm of metaphors before my eyes,
Shove them down my throat and pretend to be void of any blame -

And it's in that moment I see you…
I know you all too well and you look so weak when you shake your hand at me;

Pollinate the seed of resentment in me and hide in fear of what you made.
The rush of red, the cold calamity of blue,
You leave me so unnerved and yet

The rigor of your spell has swept me inside

And I feel alone.
I feel the pace uncharged,
The ignorance unchanged.
You cannot wipe your hands clean when the damage has been done
And pretend our hearts never beat like one.

sometimes constructive criticism is taken as tearing it all to pieces...some good phrases here.
