The fall

The fall

A Poem by aprilrayne

I’ll go the distance, but I will not run…

You see I’ve ran before and I’ve fallen--

The inertia of my fall didn’t hurt

It was the letting go of control;

That effortless effort of being less than the effort,

A Mobius of inner turmoil as the mud covered ground

Splattered against my clothes,

And the jarring strike of my body to the earth

It’s a shock!

It’s an awe!
And in my nuanced position, peering up,

Wise to notice you were watching all this time.

I think -- patience is key

     but had I not run

I would have not been so blind to see

 I really didn't need your help to fall.

Very nicely done! I feel that you expressed a moment of losing 'control' in life and having to deal with the situation with whatever way you can. Which is what I feel we all go through. We fall many times, but we must not be too quick to get up, "patience is key."
