It Makes No Difference

It Makes No Difference

A Poem by aprilrayne
"

Pitter patter, it makes no difference... Right?

"

Gated fortress,

Why do you beckon?

Call a lonely voice in the wind...

And in between worlds

Your stature decomposes me in a faint whisper,

Deep into oblivion on an angels wing.

I will not fall for you.

And pretty plucked like the hen that breeds a dozen

I hatch like a blind bird under your bosom.

I am hungry,

But I will not fall for you.

In shadows I will grow.

My talons will etch upon your stoned surface

And perch above your shore.

Testing flight, I will not falter,

Before my one and only triumph you had me at odds,

A single and solitary confinement.

You want me to bend before you?

Spread and fly…

                         Or fall?

It makes no difference

when I need hands to bang upon your door.
