War Doctor

War Doctor

A Poem by aprilrayne

as he spoiled me on broken knee

my eyes, they pleaded desperately,

two thousand years, an empty cause,

for he waged war and never lost

come back in time, the edge has won

a broken spell

done up in sun

the blue box quickens the angled pace

the weeping washes angel's face

then, look upon what time has done

the twisting never mends, it runs

a flicker here, a flicker there

the day lost every yesteryear

too shallow in the night, must haste,

a ripping chorus

war will taste

and save the doctor who as well

to bring them all to life

                                                     ...then hell
