Good Morning

2009

The sky is sapphire blue

And clouds are cotton-like

At the east, the sun rises with pride.

The birds are chirping,

flying at every side.

Grasses and trees sway with the wind,

then I see my brother showing a good little deed.

“This is such a lovely, beautiful day”, I said.

I am so delighted specially when my cute puppy jump beside me,

greeting me while wagging his not so shaggy tail,

“Hello, Lucky, my best dog and friend, this morning is so wonderful, can I play some tricks with you before our breakfast?” …

And so we did!

Author's Note

I wrote this poem when I was 14 years old but I never let anyone to read it. It is only now that I feel like I want to share...I don't want to change a word because that was a side of me five years ago. I hope you like it. :)

Nicely done! :) I especially like that you left it like it was when you originally wrote it. Sometimes when I review my writing (especially my writing from years and years ago) I find myself picking up the pen to change the wording or write it differently, but in the end I can't bring myself to do it :D Great job with this poem; you captured the moment beautifully! :)
