Place of Hatred

Place of Hatred

A Poem by Aprille

"

There might be happiness in here

There might be contentment

There might be friends I have to keep

But there’s a part of me with touches of hatred and uncertainty

No one wants to give in

No one really understands

Beyond pretty faces are hearts of steel

Now I’m longing for the feeling behind the word “surreal”

Though I know why I’m still here

The art of patience is so hard to bear

Yet somehow, I learn to wait

Heart of disdain is what I avoid to build

I'm not planning on being nothing forever

I’ll break free from this piercing maneuver

Not today but right time will come...

I believe someday I’ll find my solace

Because somewhere out there,

I know I have my place.

This is much easier to read all in one font. It is well written and honest.

Thanks KL. :)
I believe everyone has felt trapped in their life at one point or another, and the belief of escape is what drives us to continue onward, to thrive, because someday, we just might find that place we belong.

You're right, just moving forward... Thanks for the review. :)
Reflective and expressive. Captures the emotions so clearly that I felt them as I read. Well done!
