A Poem by Aprille
"

For my bestfriend: Don’t ever think I’m gone. I am always with you. I am always listening.

"

Don’t ever think that a friend may forget;

That a friend may vanish or go away…

Remember that “True friends never go”

You may not see him, but he’s right behind you

With folded wings, within a distance, watching your steps

Silently listening to the sounds brought by the wind

If you feel that all has left you alone,

Just look back,

You’ll see his eyes shining for you

You’ll see a smile that is made just for you

You’ll see a friend,

Unknown from the world,

Contented to walk behind your shadows.

Thank you Eve.
Very warm feeling here and surely enough we need those who are going to offer unconditional support and it is all there in your writing. You never know when you will need your friend but he is happy to walk unoticed waiting for the time where he can come out and help.

Thanks. :)
What a lovely tribute to a friend.
It could also be interpreted in a spiritual sense.
Great poem.

Thanks Ance. :)
A very nice portrayal of friendship, rather earthly or divine. Sounds like he is lucky to have you as a friend, and vice-versa. There was a nice force of emotion behind this, and made for an enjoyable read.

Don’t even (ever) think that a friend may forget;

That a friend may vanish or (may) go away… omitting this one helps you to not have three repetition of the word 'may' in such a short span.

You may not see him (,) but he’s right behind you

I hope this helps, thanks for the read.
